Three weeks before my session started I ran this every practice. Getting to six and missing means starting over, and by week two my hands were doing the same thing at ball seven that they do at hill-hill. That was the point, I guess.
I coach four nights a week and the hardest thing to teach is the last shot, because you can't manufacture the feeling. This does. I put the case on the rail and the kid knows what it means. Coach's Case was the right call, two at a time.

Novelty balls would defeat the point, since you'd be practicing a shot that doesn't behave like the one you're trying to fix.
You can, and it won't do the same thing. Re-spotting one ball resets your head between attempts, which is exactly what pressure removes. Fifteen on the table at once means you see the streak sitting there and you feel it building. That feeling is the training.
No. It's its own case, which is the point — it lives in the trunk next to the cue and comes out when you're practicing alone. Loaded, it's about four pounds.
You can, but check it. A sealed metal case holding fifteen identical dense black spheres is a memorable X-ray, and TSA will open it every time. Put it in checked luggage and save yourself the conversation.
